Families navigating Alzheimer’s and other dementias often carry a lot on their shoulders – emotionally, mentally, and financially. This March, Arbors Memory Care is hosting a series of free events designed to offer practical tools, compassionate support, and trusted resources for families in our community.
Lunch & Learn: Support for Families Navigating Dementia
On Tuesday, March 24 at noon, families are invited to a Lunch & Learn at the Sparks Library, 1125 12th St, Sparks, NV 89431. This is the first session of a free monthly workshop series led by Toni Corbiere, Lead Chaplain at Eden Health, and will feature special guests from the Alzheimer’s Association.
During this interactive session, you’ll learn how dementia can affect each family member differently, explore ways to find relief through local resources and community support, and discover strategies to maintain dignity, connection, and quality of life for those living with dementia. A complimentary light lunch will be provided while you learn and connect with other families on a similar journey.

Caregiver Book Club: Connection Over Coffee
In addition to our workshop series, Arbors Memory Care is hosting a Caregiver Book Club on Wednesday, March 18 from 11 a.m. to noon at Lighthouse Coffee, 5255 Vista Blvd., Suite C-2, in Sparks. This casual, supportive gathering gives caregivers a chance to share experiences, talk through real-life challenges, and reflect on helpful reading focused on dementia, caregiving, and resilience.
Over a cup of coffee, you’ll meet others who truly understand what you are going through and leave with practical ideas, encouragement, and a sense of community. Whether you have been caregiving for years or are just starting to navigate a new diagnosis, you are welcome.

Virtual Event: Financial Resources to Help Pay for Senior Living
The financial side of senior care can feel overwhelming, which is why we are partnering with ElderLife Financial Services for a free virtual presentation: “Financial Resources to Help Pay for Senior Living,” on Wednesday, March 25 at noon. This online session will walk you through key funding options and include time for Q&A with experts.
You’ll learn about Veterans benefits, strategies for downsizing and selling a home, long-term care insurance claims assistance, and how a bridge loan can help families move sooner rather than later when care can’t wait. All attendees are entered to win one of three “Planning for the Future” gift boxes valued at 75 dollars, making it a helpful and hopeful hour for families weighing their options.
